The Santa Cruz
County
Cycling Club is a great local resource for beginners and
experienced riders alike. Weekly rides are hosted by local
cyclists and vary from easy paced 15-20 mile fun rides to
moderate/difficult 60-70 mile rides. Its signature event, the
Santa Cruz Mountains Challenge, serves up a grueling 100 mile
route with an elevation gain of 10,000 feet (a somewhat easier
100k route is also offered). Visit the SCCCC web site for weekly
ride info! |

The Santa Cruz
County Regional Transportation Commission is an invaluable
resource for in depth information regarding local transportation
issues. This organization works to keep residents informed about present and future changes to
the area's transportation system, and provides key information
regarding local bike routes as well as all local bicycle related
transportation projects. Another key service provided by the
SCRTC is Bicycle Hazard Reporting which enables individuals to
report any hazard affecting cyclists traveling on roadways and
bikeways in the area. Forms for reporting road hazards are
available online! |
